Q3W1 - January 24, 2022

 


What to expect for Q3W1:

Math: Students will continue learning decimals.

Language Arts: 
  • Literature - Students will begin reading Carry On, Mr. Bowditch, and will continue to work on memorizing "The Pobble Who Has No Toes." 
  • Grammar - Students will be reviewing conjunctions and interjections, and will begin learning about direct objects. 
  • Writing - Students will begin learning about and practicing persuasive writing. 
History: Students will work through their study guide to prepare for their Medieval Unit Test on Thursday.

What to expect for Q2W8:

Math: Students will continue learning decimals.
Language Arts: Students will take their final quizzes on Robin Hood, and Seminar together, before starting a new poem at the end of the week. In Grammar, they will be learning about labeling and diagraming conjunctions and interjections.  In Writing, students will complete their final draft of their Favorite Season expository writing, and will spend the remainder of the week practicing revising and editing. 
Science: Students will learn about the water cycle, and will spend the second half of the week learning about how weather is measured and predicted.

 What to expect for Q2W8:

Math: Students will review unit vocabulary, and will begin learning decimals.
Language Arts: Students will read Chapters 18-21 of Robin Hood this week. In Grammar, they will be reviewing Helping Verbs and working on an overall grammar review in preparation for their quiz on Friday. In Writing, we will continue practice on expository writing. 
History: Students will be continuing their Medieval unit, and will be learning about the introduction of Parliament, The Hundred Years' War, Joan of Arc, and The Black Death
